H.E.A.R.T.
A Drug Free Communities Coalition

The H.E.A.R.T. (Health, Education, Awareness, and Research on Tobacco) is a Drug Free Communities Coalition funded by the Office of National Drug Control Policy of the Executive Office of The President.

The coalition’s goal is to reduce alcohol, and tobacco abuse among youth and, over time, among adults by addressing the factors in Atlanta Fulton County communities that increase the risk of alcohol, and tobacco abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of alcohol, and tobacco.

Our objectives:

    1. Increase Age of onset of alcohol and tobacco use;
    2. To reduce Frequency of alcohol and tobacco use in the past 30 days
    3. To increase the Perception of risk or harm of alcohol and tobacco use; and
    4. To increase Perception of disapproval of alcohol and tobacco use by parents

If you have an interest in the reduction and prevention of these gateway drugs, please become a member of the coalition and join us in our efforts.
